Intro to Ruby in Berkeley

This is a beginner-friendly introduction to the Ruby programming language.

We are taking a break for the holidays, this is our first class of 2017.

Ruby is an fun programming language to learn and to work with. It is object-oriented, like a lot of other languages, so many of the concepts in Ruby translate to other programming languages. Ruby is also used in Ruby on Rails and many other web application frameworks.

This will be an introductory level class for Ruby. No previous programming language experience is required. We will use an online Ruby environment, and the classroom will have computers, so you don't even need a laptop!

While this class is targeted at beginners, those who have programming experience in other languages, but want to learn some Ruby, will also find it useful

Note -- this class is in the Berkeley Public Library, Main Branch, 3rd Floor Technology Classroom.

5:30pm Pacific - 7:30pm Pacific on January 10, 2017 at Berkeley Central Library
