Parse websites with Ruby and Mechanize
Mechanize is a ruby library that makes automated web interaction easy. https://github.com/sparklemotion/mechanize
I will demonstrate some of the work we've been doing with http://minr.me/ to summarize news articles and seek to improve the existing algorithm through a collaborative hack in class. -- free pizza and beer/soda available
