Image Uploading with Refile
[Correction: Date is Wednesday, Nov. 4th] Images are awesome, and sharing them is even better. This week we'll show how to allow our site's users to upload and share images with each other.
Note: I sent this out previously for the wrong day. Sorry about that! It's on WEDNESDAY.
We're going to continue with the idea of a chat app, but will start to focus more on the visual appearance. We'll start with a starter app, add the ability to send images, and then style it.
The two most popular gems for file uploads are paperclip and carrierwave, but there's a new gem, refile that's more cloud-friendly.
